  Another Burnt Out Elder

  young elder(mid-thirties) in my congregation stepped down last night.

  nicest guy, with two lovely kids, a great supportive wife.. it got to be too much, as the other elders are practically useless, let him do all the hard work, while they did all the "important" stuff.

  literally ran him ragged.. he's still in good standing, gave the final prayer.

  That same scenario happened in my Cong, only that it was 2 elders; those guys and their wives seem so much happier now!

  I am truly happy for all that wake up to the WTBTS bs.

  The vast majority of Trump voters/supporters are quite ignorant just like their now leader. None of the stupidity that transpires in the WH faces them in the least bit.

  One cannot reason out of a position a person who has not been reasoned into it.

  When HC called them a basket of deplorables, she spoke truth.

  Disfellowshipped 2x adultry divorce remarried getting divorce to write my wrong

  this is bit hard for me but im lost and don't know what to do.. 2010-married to a disfellowship person after only knowing him 3 months i began studying baptized few months later and he was reinstated same year.. i committed adultry 3-4 times in first 2 years of marriage he forgave me.

  he was a recovering alcoholic and fell off wagon hard when i tried to fix my wrong it was way out of hand he moved in drug addicts in the home we fought constantly i tried to get personal studies with a sister to keep going but i failed at that and left my husband i left for another man 2 in half years later im looking to divorce because well what goes around comes around and he committed adultery on me .

  i got what was coming for thinking i would live happy ever after.

  i was at the meeting last night and the dreadful video about caleb and sparlock was forced upon the audience.

  honestly, i had forgotten how bad it was.

  the mother's manipulative over-reaction and caleb's acceptance that his toy was evil.

  Saw the presentation at last night's mtg. This is perfectly lined up with the JW beliefs, so nothing new here.

  Really liked the ending, where the mother offered to go on a bike ride with the child.

  Children want to have fun, so parents have the obligation to substitute fun they feel is not right for a Christian with same amount of real fun that is acceptable according to their lifestyle. Nothing wrong or that will hinder the child's healthy development.

  The thing is that most JWs will not do things as presented in the demo. They will be mad with the kids, yell at them, throw their toys in the garbage angrily, not reason with them, punish them, and not provide any other form of fun/entertainment as a substitute. I see it all the time and this is why so many JW children grow up disgruntled.

  How much money people usually donate to WT ?

  i grew up in the org and never got baptised, however i was wondering recently about how much money my family and old friends are wasting in all that.

  .

  i remember of course never talking in amounts, that it was important to give from what you can not what you have etc but i admit i have no clue how much the average witness gives (say in % of their income).. i'm sure it varies greatly, i'd love to hear what you guys have to say..

  Bills have to get paid at the KH, and all things/events have a price, so we contribute moderately. However, when they read those crazy numbers at the assembly, we never give one more red cent.

  No freaking way that $11,000 is the true cost for one day at a location owned by WTBTS. It's a LIE!!!🤥

  at the meeting today, we were reading the watchtower and this elder apologetically said to such a degree in regards to romans 5:12 that "we humans are not worthy of any mercy from jehovah.

  we shouldn't even have free will because we can't possibly do anything good enough to please jehovah.

  we don't even deserve life because of sin.

  This one, as many a WT study, is the 'rectum derived' interpretation many of us turn a deaf ear regularly. Look around the KH when this info is being read or dissected from the platform, don't many seem as if they really do not give a flying f*** about it.

  I've seen a few, younger crowd, as I do often, just looking up other stuff on my tablet while the meeting is going on.

  Oh, the Org is in serious trouble! They should've never introduced that ridiculous 'overlapping generation' crap. The intelligent caught a whiff of their deceit since then.

  I see all those type of commercials as educational, really, in hope these overall Trump minorities will be brought if only briefly out of their hateful bubble and help them realize the true fabric of this great Nation.

  We're all immigrants and the latest arrivals, just like the earlier ones, are here to stay. Love it!!!

  The Org is hemorrhaging uncontrollably for the past decade. Even internally, there are so many of us, the Awakened Class, that are up to their 'rectum derived' dogma and no longer play along their expectations.

  They've noticed this and are trying it all in order to realign the ship. No success thus far.

  You know when they really rejoice? When someone leaves, or when someone picks a non-believer for marriage, and then they do horribly.

  There are these beautiful couple of young sisters that went outside the JWs to pick their men. One of them to this day continues to get beatings by her husband, she seems so unhappy and trapped by this bully, and the other one got beatings and also the bum ended up leaving her and the small kids for another woman.

  Oh, there were some JWs that just enjoyed their misery and use them as an example for other young ones not to go outside the religion or that will happen.

  Too bad so many leave and then give credence to the saying "throwing the baby out with the bath water".😕
